Tasmanian platypuses and echidnas are unique and cannot be seen anywhere else in the world. You are guaranteed to see both these spectacular egg-laying mammals actively feeding and playing during the guided tour. Learn and be amazed about the biology of both mammals and how they live. Have fun choosing a memento from the gift shop.

Platypus House has been established to advance community understanding and awareness of these unique animals.

Platypus House is situated on the scenic Tamar River at Beauty Point, about a 40-minute drive north of Launceston (44 km).
